Camp

Wombeyan Caves

Camping grounds with all the facilities including a good kitchen, dining hall and hot water.

Road to the place is best for 4WD. Any car can handle this rough, tough drive but has to be careful. Not recommended to drive after dark on this narrow windy road as it won't take anything more than a couple of seconds for things to go wrong. This rough drive takes about hour and half to two depending on the speed. The drive is with breathtaking views for the passengers. Drivers, please concentrate on your job of getting everyone to and back from this place. As this root is considered as the most dangerous road in Southern Highlands if one os not a confident driver, take the longer root through Goulburn, which is the one that Google maps show you......  found this information out after being on this root twice..... oopppsss.... I have no regrets on not knowing that.....

Tooting/ honking at every blind bend was great as there is not that much of an opportunity while driving in Australia.....

Once reached the camp ground, you can relax and be ready to enjoy the nature.

Guided cave tours, self guided cave tour, walk abouts, bbq, picnics are available. Kiosk has basic requirements that one needs. But be mindful to pay for your ice bags on the day you arrive as they may run out of it, specially on hot days.

This is a great place for technology detox. No mobile coverage. A Telstra payphone was on site and may be Telstra mobiles will be ok.
