A sudden mention by my aunt to join in Peradeniya Alumni annual walk on 2nd of December was all I needed. I was ready to join the walk. It was such a beautiful morning with a blue sky over the ocean and the cloud cover ove the land. Sun was there to protect us from the cold breeze from the sea.
Walk has started around 9.40 after all the catching up by the other participants... :)
It was a very easy 5km walks (Sydney's Best Harbour and Coastal Walks; Revised 2nd Edition). So many rock pools, native fauna and flora, human activity and swamps were passed during this cliff edge walk.
Walking beside the sea on rocks eroded by tides was the best stretch of the walk. Return walk was along the same route but the weather was completely different to the morning. Sun had hidden behind the cloud cover, cold wind and gloomy atmosphere greated by drizzle was the weather for our return journey.
If the number of people participated was less, was quiet and took more time to admire the nature would have been an even better walk. But still I have enjoyed the company of the elderly ladies and gents during my walk as they were talking about their past experiences at uni.
I will do this walk soon again by myself or with a handful of my friends whom would love this kind of activity.
